Pathway Partnership Agreements

• Students must have graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Bishop’s University within five (5) years of applying to AUC and have an overall minimum Grade Point Average of 2.6 or higher on both cumulative and science, and a minimum of a 490 or higher MCAT score.
• A Grade Point Average of 2.6 or higher in all courses designated by AUC as pre-requisites of admission:
  • Biology: 1 year (6 lecture credits), plus laboratory
  • General Chemistry: 1 year (6 lecture credits), plus laboratory.
  • Organic Chemistry: 1 year (6 lecture credits), plus laboratory. Biochemistry can be used to substitute for organic chemistry.
  • General Physics: 1 semester (3 lecture credits), plus laboratory. Statistics or Calculus can be substituted for Physics.
• Medical Entrance Testing (please note that AUC will not consider MCAT or UCAT scores more than five years old):
  • All students should take the MCAT
• A minimum of one letter from an individual academic professor who taught applicant (science preferred, but not required), and one professional letter (a physician, nurse, manager, or other professional the student has worked with).
• Other minimum admission requirements as set forth by AUC.
• The applicant fee will be waived for eligible students.*
• Eligible applicants will be granted an AUC admissions interview.
• Students will be evaluated for academic scholarships at the time of admission.
• Bishop’s University Partner Scholarship: One-time $7,500 USD awarded for the first semester of enrollment at AUC.
• The International Student Scholarship or Canadian Student Scholarship—$80,000 USD one-time award distributed across semesters 1 through 10 —details available on the AUC website at aucmed.edu/scholarships
• For UK Track students: Students will receive a one-time first semester on-campus housing grant of £1,700 as a credit to their student account.
• Sint Maarten campus students receive a one-time first semester on-campus housing grant of $4,750 USD for a double occupancy unit.

• Students must be referred by The Princeton Review Canada.

• Eligible individuals may be reviewed for the Medical Education Readiness Program (MERP). Such individuals will be required to successfully pass MERP prior to enrolling in their first semester at AUC.
• The Princeton Review Canada Partner Scholarship: One-time $9,500 USD awarded for the first semester of enrollment at AUC, OR the MERP Medical Education Scholar Award, whichever amount is greater

Students simultaneously enroll in didactic University of Waterloo courses whose content closely matches that in the MERP courses. Students take only the cumulative final exam for University of Waterloo course work to receive credit.

• A student who successfully completes the MERP coursework and meets AUC’s admission requirements will be granted conditional acceptance in the next AUC medical school class.
