Pathway Partnership Agreements

• Students must have graduated with a bachelor’s degree from AUD within five (5) years of applying to AUC, and have an overall minimum Grade Point Average of 2.8 GPA or higher on both cumulative and science.
• A Grade Point Average of 2.8 or higher in all courses designated by AUC as pre-requisites of admission:
  • Biology: 1 year (8 credit hours), including laboratory
  • General Chemistry: 1 year (8 credit hours), including laboratory.
  • Organic Chemistry: 1 year (8 credit hours), including laboratory. Biochemistry can be used to substitute for organic chemistry.
  • General Physics: 1 semester (4 credit hours), including laboratory. Statistics or Calculus can be substituted for Physics.
• MCAT waiver for non-US students. U.S. citizens and U.S. permanent residents are required to take the MCAT exam. 
• English requirements: required for non-native English speakers, applicants who graduated from institutions in which the education was not delivered in English, or as requested by the Admissions Committee. One of two exams may be taken: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). 
• A minimum of one letter from an individual academic professor who taught applicant (science preferred, but not required), and one professional letter. 
• Other minimum admission requirements as set forth by AUC. 
• The applicant fee will be waived for eligible students.*

• American University in Dubai Partner Scholarship: One-time $7,500 USD awarded for the first semester of enrollment at AUC.
• Students will be evaluated for academic scholarships at the time of admission. 
• For UK Track students: Students will receive a one-time first semester housing credit of $2,000 USD to their student account.
• Sint Maarten campus students receive a one-time first semester on-campus housing grant up to $4,750 USD for a double occupancy unit.

• Students simultaneously enroll in didactic CCSJ courses whose content closely matches that in the MERP courses. Students take only the cumulative final exam for CCSJ coursework to receive credit.
• A student who successfully completes the MERP coursework and meets AUC’s admission requirements will be granted conditional acceptance in the next AUC medical school class.
• Students must have graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Calumet College of St. Joseph within five (5) years of applying to AUC and have an overall minimum Grade Point Average of 2.6 or higher on both cumulative and science, and a minimum of a 490 or higher MCAT score.

  • General Physics: 1 semester (4 credit hours), including laboratory. Statistics or Calculus can be substituted for Physics.
• No grade below C (or equivalent) in any pre-requisite course designated by AUC.
• A minimum cumulative score of a 490 or higher on the MCAT and minimum section scores of (AUC will not consider MCAT scores more than five years old):
  • 123 or greater for Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems;
  • 122 or greater for Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems;
  • 120 or greater for Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills; and
  • 120 or greater for Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior.
• Must have two letters of recommendation.

• Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCUHS) Partner Scholarship: One-time, merit-based award of either $7,500 USD or $10,000 USD for the first semester of enrollment at AUC as follows:
  • $10,000 USD if Eligible Individual had an overall Grade Point Average (or equivalency) of 3.5 or higher.
  • $7,500 USD for Eligible Individuals not meeting the above criteria.
• Reimbursement for first flight to St. Maarten to enroll in semester one (Maximum benefit of $750 USD)*
• Eligible individuals may be reviewed for the Medical Education Readiness Program (MERP). Such individuals will be required to successfully pass MERP prior to enrolling in their first semester.

• Graduates of the USF Medical Sciences Pre-Professional Program must meet the following conditions:
  • Meet AUC pre-requisite courses and have taken the MCAT; OR
  • Recommendation from USF program advisor; student must meet AUC admission requirements.
• Must meet all AUC deadlines and submit all required application materials
• Students will be evaluated for academic scholarships at the time of admission
• Eligible applicants will be granted an AUC admissions interview.
• University of South Florida Partner Scholarship: One-time $7,500 USD awarded for the first semester of enrollment at AUC.

• Students must be referred to AUC by Vida.
• Students must have a Bachelor’s degree with an overall minimum Grade Point Average of 2.6 or higher on both cumulative and science, and a minimum of a 490 or higher MCAT score.
• A Grade Point Average of 2.6 or higher in all courses designated by AUC as pre-requisites of admission:
  • Biology: 1 year (8 credit hours), plus laboratory
  • General Chemistry: 1 year (8 credit hours), plus laboratory.
  • Organic Chemistry: 1 year (8 credit hours), plus laboratory. Biochemistry can be used to substitute for organic chemistry.
  • General Physics: 1 semester (4 credit hours), plus laboratory. Statistics or Calculus can be substituted for Physics.
• Medical Entrance Testing (please note that AUC will not consider MCAT or UCAT scores more than five years old):
  • S. Citizens or Permanent Residents: MCAT
  • Non-U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents: MCAT, UCAT, NEET, or GAMSAT
  • India Citizens: Recommended to take NEET to practice in India. The NEET exam must be taken in English.
• English requirements: required for non-native English speakers, applicants who graduated from institutions in which the education was not delivered in English, or as requested by the Admissions Committee. One of two exams may be taken: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
• A minimum of one letter from an individual academic professor who taught applicant (science preferred, but not required), and one professional letter.
• Other minimum admission requirements as set forth by AUC.
• The applicant fee will be waived for eligible students.*
• Eligible applicants will be granted an AUC admissions interview.
• Eligible admitted individuals are eligible to receive a one-time $9,500 USD grant to be applied towards the student’s first semester tuition at AUC.
• Eligible individuals may be reviewed for the Medical Education Readiness Program (MERP). Such individuals will be required to successfully pass MERP prior to enrolling in their first semester.
  • Upon completion of MERP, eligible individuals may receive a one-time grant of $9,500 USD to be applied towards their first semester tuition at AUC, or they may receive AUC’s MERP Success Scholarship, whichever amount is greater. Visit the AUC Scholarship webpage for additional information.
