Community Action Day: Deepening Community Bonds and Fostering Future Health Care Leaders
American University of the Caribbean (AUC)’s long-standing Community Action Day is a celebration of service, learning, and community collaboration.
At age 8, Fadi saw his brother diagnosed with nephrolithiasis after experiencing chest pains—a scary experience. Fortunately, his family was able to get him to medical professionals in time but the same wasn’t always true for those in his community.

Congratulations to UK Track faculty members Dr Sirina Muntaka, Dr. Gargi Soni, Dr. Vaishali Khatri and Dr. Abass Alhassan, who were recently awarded their Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), UK. Fellowship demonstrates a personal and institutional commitment to professionalism in learning and teaching in higher education.
More than 150 students in Sint Maarten and the UK Track program were honored during the virtual Celebration of Academic Excellence on Friday, June 18.
Dr. Cecil W. Cone, II, was recently appointed Assistant Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Sint Maarten campus, a new leadership position in which Dr. Cone will oversee all diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts that support AUC students, faculty, and staff.
AUC School of Medicine honored more than 200 students during the Celebration of Academic Excellence on Friday, February 19.
