Community Action Day: Deepening Community Bonds and Fostering Future Health Care Leaders
American University of the Caribbean (AUC)’s long-standing Community Action Day is a celebration of service, learning, and community collaboration.
It’s been six years since pediatric gastroenterologist Kim-Doan Katrina Nguyen, MD ’02 launched her first childhood obesity intervention program in Rockford, Illinois through her nonprofit organization Faithful-2-Fitness.
The ceremony recognized the accomplishments of 315 graduates and their dedication to the field of medicine.
Class of 2009 graduate Dr. Nicole Deptula is an attending neonatologist at St. Louis Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, a Level IV 130-bed neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
It’s time to throw out the stigmas, stop labeling mental health as a disorder and start taking charge of overall wellbeing.
In a reflection of the collaborative spirit and focus on community among the Class of 2021, we are pleased to announce that this year’s student address will be given by five members of the graduating class.
With a focus on preparedness and response to all-hazards events, the conference kicked off with a keynote address from Dr. Richard Carmona, the 17th surgeon general of the United States.
