Community Action Day: Deepening Community Bonds and Fostering Future Health Care Leaders
American University of the Caribbean (AUC)’s long-standing Community Action Day is a celebration of service, learning, and community collaboration.
February is Black History Month, a time to honor achievements and celebrate excellence throughout the Black community.
At age 8, Fadi saw his brother diagnosed with nephrolithiasis after experiencing chest pains—a scary experience. Fortunately, his family was able to get him to medical professionals in time but the same wasn’t always true for those in his community.
As the worldwide vaccine rollout brings us renewed hope, now is also an opportunity to reflect on all that we have weathered and achieved together. Below are just a few of the many milestones from the year which gave new meaning to the phrase “unprecedented times.”
Dr. Cecil W. Cone, II, was recently appointed Assistant Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Sint Maarten campus, a new leadership position in which Dr. Cone will oversee all diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts that support AUC students, faculty, and staff.
