Manny Agah, MD, MPH, graduated from the University of Shiraz, Iran, in 1959, later earning his Masters of Public Health from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1967. He completed a residency in pediatrics at University of Pittsburgh, then a fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Michigan. From 1964 to 1966, he served as Director of Communicable Diseases for Wayne County, then as Director of Maternal and Child Health for Wayne’s Department of Health.

As pediatrics chair, Dr. Agah is responsible for helping ensure AUC students receive a quality pediatrics education and earn the necessary clinical skills during pediatrics rotations to prepare them for success in attaining a residency. Other responsibilities include updating AUC’s pediatrics curriculum annually, participation in the AUC pediatrics Match advisory program, and mentoring AUC students on the pediatrics shelf exam.
